September has crept up on us very quickly. It only seems like yesterday we were enjoying long, sunny, light days and now the mornings are darker and the days are gradually drawing in. But Autumn is a wonderful season and we are ready to light the fire and draw the curtains and savour the tastes of the end of the year.
We are in the process of tasting some wonderful wines to bring in for, dare we say it, Christmas and the winter months. You will not be disappointed!
We have a wonderful selection of tasty wines, beers and spirits throughout the shop. Gin continues to be the drink of choice for many and we have brought in many new brands during the year including Burleigh’s Marilyn Monroe Pink Gin, Cariad’s Clwydian Range and LlanfairPG’s Anglesey Rhubarb and Vanilla and Strawberry and Pink Peppercorn gins. They have also brought out their own Swellies Spiced Rum to rival the ever popular Barti Ddu Spiced Rum.
It’s that time of year that we’re contemplating holding our ever popular gin tasting evening - so watch this space for the proposed date. Be prepared as the tickets usually sell out with minutes!! One date we do have for your diary is Friday 8th November which is our annual wine tasting. This year we will be holding the event just up the road at the Pwllheli School of Dance Studio. The venue will give us more space and hopefully make for a more comfortable environment to savour all those wonderful wines. We may even take advantage of the dance floor and really make a night of it! Tickets will be available from the shop next month.
