It’s all about the tins.
We are always looking for something new and thanks to our fabulous local brewers we now have a tasty selection of craft beers in cans.
It seems beers in cans is the latest “thing” to have but there is a lot of sense in buying your ales in tins.
Aluminium cans are completely opaque, disallowing any light rays from touching the beer thereby maintaining the beer’s freshness.
Cans possess an excellent seal that is completely molecule-tight. After filling, an aluminium top is placed over the little vat and the metal around the upper lip is folded over on itself to for a perfect seal.
Cans are lighter than glass bottles Which means they are inexpensive to transport and easier to carry to the backyard or to the dock. Aluminium is easy to recycle and , because metal is thinner than glass, your beer will chill down quicker when stored on ice or in the fridge. Canned beer can be consumed safely outdoors without the hazard of broken glass.
There is a common misconception that canned beer will impart a metallic taste into the beer. This is false as modern cans possess an inner lining that is made of BPA-free plastic.
So you can take it from us canned beers are better for the environment and makes for a happier planet.
Nokota, a hazy, hoppy session IPA from www.wildhorsebrewing.co.uk is from LLandudno. We have two beers from @bragymona at the moment; Dwynwen which is a delicious strawberry beer which deserves to be served chilled in a champagne flute and Mona IPA. A little further afield we our the proud stockist of @lostatsea_co NorthPoint Pale Ale - crisp clean and hugely hoppy. And last but not least @tinyrebel have EasyLivin’ a session pale ale and Strawberry Bomb their strawberry sour.
Hope this convinces you to take a look at craft beers in cans when you’re next shopping for you favourites drinks.
